Meet the volunteers who are responsible for Broseley Festival


Debbie Glaze - Managing Director & Finance Co-ordinator

Debbie joined the festival team during the festival first year. She held the position of treasurer during the festival’s second and third year and was voted to become chair when the festival was a committee run organisation in the fourth and fifth year. Debbie is now Managing Director (voluntary) of Broseley Festival CIC when Broseley Festival became a Community Interest Company in 2019. Debbie oversees the overall running of Broseley Festival as well as working closely with Broseley and Shropshire councils, our security team and medics. Debbie is responsible for conducting all committee meetings and works with the festival officers, management committee and health & safety officers to ensure everything is in place for each fundraising event and the festival itself.

Booking Co-ordinator

Dan joined the festival team in it's first year. His role was initially to oversee design and advertising. During the festival’s second and third year, Dan was voted as committee secretary and worked alongside other committee officers to continue to make Broseley Festival bigger and better each year. During the festival’s fourth year Dan held the position of treasurer but also took on the task of organising band and entertainment bookings for Broseley Festival 2018 as well as organising food and drink vendors and the craft and shopping stalls that attend the festival, which he has continued to do since. Dan is responsible for organising our year-round fundraising events, website and programme design, social media and sponsorship of the festival. In 2018 Dan was voted to become our committee’s Vice Chair and became a Company Director (voluntary) when Broseley Festival became Broseley Festival CIC.

Mo Griffiths - Sales & Merchandise Co-ordinator

Mo is a well know lady in Broseley and can often be found around our beautiful town. Mo is an original member of the Broseley Festival team and joined when it began. During the festivals fourth year Mo was voted as committee Secretary and in 2019 became our committee treasurer. Mo oversees Sales & Merchandise tas well as selling our merchandise and tickets for our fundraising raffles along with committee member Ann Jones. Mo also works closely with Dan supporting with advertising and sponsorship.           

Wilf Glaze - Event Setup Co-ordinator

After being involved in the Festival’s first year, Wilf officially joined the committee in the festivals second year. Wilf was Broseley Festival’s Health & Safety Officer which was the position he held until 2019 when he became Event Setup Co-ordinator. Wilf oversees the general set up of the festival weekend, the festival site, he works closely with our stage and production team and the festival’s food and drink stall holders. Wilf works alongside committee members Jade and Simon as well as our festival security team to ensure everything run smoothly during Broseley Festival and our fundraising events. Wilf is also responsible for positioning our advertising banners and posters around the town and local area.

Jade Tonks- Office and Administration Co-ordinator

Jade joined Broseley Festival in 2017. in 2018 Jade was voted as committee Secretary and now oversees our admininstation. As well as this Jade works closely with our health and safety and event setup co-ordinators during the festival weekend ensuring the festival site is set up correctly. Jade is also responsible for record keeping and contacting food and drink stalls once they have booked to attend Broseley Festival. Jade works closely with Dan to oversee the festival’s social media accounts and helps source prizes to be used in raffles and auctions at various fundraising events throughout the year.

Simon Harris -Project Co-ordinator

Simon has been involved with Broseley Festival for several years but officially joined the team in 2018. Simon woeks closly with our company directors overseeing the general organisation of Broseley Festival. Simon works closely with both our event setup and health and safety co-ordinators. In addition to this Simon deals with our local authority and town council overseeing road closures and licencing.      

Nigel Gaskin -Health & Safety Co-ordinator & Official Photographer

After volunteering to be our Festival photographer in 2019. Nigel is now the most recent member of our team after officially joining later that year. Nigel has taken on the role of Health & Safety Co-ordinator and will oversee all aspects of health and safety and risk assessments for Broseley Festival and all Broseley Festival's events. He will also continue his role as offical Broseley Festival photograper and can be seen at various events throughout the year and during the festival weekend. Please give him a big smile if you see him around!

Jo Ball

Ann Jones joined Broseley Festival team when it started and is an original member. Ann works with Mo overseeing the sales of merchandise and fundraising raffle tickets. Stef and Mandy Tench-Griffiths joined the festival during its first year and both supports with fundraising events, tombola’s and our children’s activities. Dave and Bridget Broster both joined Broseley Festival in 2017. Bridget supports with all fundraising events and can be found during the festival weekend overseeing Broseley Festival’s information and merchandise stall. As well as this Bridget is also responsible for overseeing our collection tins around the town. Dave works closely with Wilf and Simon during the festival weekend with the general set up of the festival site. Dave also helps run all our fundraising events with the rest of the team as well as working with Wilf with any festival BBQ fundraising events. Jo Ball also joined Broseley Festival team in 2017 and works closely with Stef, Mo and Ann during our fundraising events. She can always be found collecting money towards the Broseley Festival fund. Jo is a familiar face around our town and is involved in many groups. in 2019 Jo also took on the task of supporting Dan with sourcing sponsorship from companies wishing to advertise in our festival programme and stage.


Every member of our team volunteers their own time all year long to raise funds and organise all of our events and the festival itself. On top of this the team attend regular meetings and share ideas to ensure Broseley Festival continues to grow from strength to strength.        

2019 Awards Finalist - The Broseley Festival Team have been voted for by the public to

become a finalist at The Midlands Business & Community Charity Awards for Volunteer

of the Year. The festival team and their families will attend an awards evening on

Saturday 16th November 2019 at Aston Villa FC when the winners will be announced.

We would like to thank everyone who voted for us and just to be nominated for this award

is such an achievement. We are honoured to now be a finalist. Thank you everyone!

We also have a group of volunteers known as our 'Helping Group' who help and support us in various ways including being stewards at various festival events and during Broseley Festival.
